About

___WHAT’S UMBRIA LAB

The cultural association UmbriaLab is a circuit of professionals specializing in different areas, from communication to journalism, from web development to graphic design to the design and management of cultural and artistic events. The focus is the territory. Think of it not just as a physical and geographically defined space, but as a container of traditions, communities, natural resources and craftmanship. The value is embedded in the individual persons: Those that interact with the territory, making it “alive.” The strength is the community. The many individual activities which the territory offers (nature, culture, sports, events, food and wine, projects), taken individually, do not have the strength necessary to promote and propose themselves. The system to re-propose is the creation of a network in which each operator present in the territory is a ring of communication that gives value to himself and all the others.UmbriaLab acts as a glue: “territory, people, activities,” for the construction of an integrated system of promotion and enhancement of the region.

___OUR GOALS

To enhance the knowledge and the touristic promotion of the cultural, environmental, and historical heritage of the Umbria region, both in Italy and abroad.
To promote the practice and dissemination of “minor” sports related to the environment, promoting the seamless integration between sports and cultural heritage, landscape and environment.
To work in synergy with associations, companies, tour operators, public and private institutions active in the region of Umbria, and abroad.
To develop the potential attractiveness of the region, knowledge of the area and tourism with low environmental impact. To coordinate initiatives and events organized by associations in the area, this also through the creation of a shared calendar of events. And to promote partnership and collective organisation of events in Umbria and abroad.
